Good morning everyone,
We hope you’re up and ready to take on today’s challenge.
We’re almost at the halfway mark, and hoping that you’re all feeling more positive and healthy to kick start this New Year.
Your task for today, which should ideally be done immediately, it to:
We understand that this is not possible for all of us, it being winter and all, but those of us who are able to find that little bit of sunlight, should make every effort to take full advantage of it.
Research shows that morning sunlight, typically between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. is most beneficial for our vitamin D levels. And just 20 minutes of this as many times as you can a week, can have significant benefits for your health.
Living in the Northern Hemisphere means we don’t always get much sunlight, particularly in the winter months. But it’s one of the most underrated wellness essentials we have available to us.
You see, not only can sunlight help us to make that much-needed vitamin D, it can have many other benefits to our overall health and sense of well being.
Research shows that morning sun can:
- Decrease the release of the stress hormone cortisol
- Improve sense of happiness by increasing serotonin production
- Reduce the severity of skin conditions like acne, psoriasis and eczema
- Help with body weight management
- And even boost sleep quality!
Is that enough to make you want to go out and find that little ray of sunshine?
Get to it, and enjoy it!
