In his life

Ian is a Torontonian, born and raised. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary school, Northern Secondary High School, and the University of Toronto. He’s been a long-time resident of the Yonge and College area and can be seen pedalling on one of his many bicycles around downtown every day of the year.

Ian’s parents were immigrants from Scotland and Mexico. He spent many happy childhood days riding horses, and chasing dogs, cats and lizards on his grandfather’s ranch in Mexico. Ian loves training with the Cabbagetown Cycling Club and crewing and sailing in regattas on Lake Ontario.

When not providing Massage Therapy at Aches Away Toronto , Ian Jarive teaches yoga and fitness classes at sites around downtown Toronto. He’s been a yoga instructor and personal trainer for over ten years. Ian dreams of one day sailing with Jimmy Buffet and/or travelling as Willie Nelson’s personal therapist. In the meantime he’s still trying to figure out how to install an inflatable hot tub on his balcony.
