Alok Kumar

Alok graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Honours Kinesiology. Throughout his studies he worked at McMaster University's sports medicine clinic, where he gained valuable experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

His interest in osteopathy developed when he learned the story of a family friend. Their son was born with clubbed feet and, at four years old, was still unable to walk. Medical advice said surgery was the only option, but while her son waited for an operation, the mother took him to see an osteopathic manual practitioner. Within six months he was showing marked improvement, and within two years he was walking normally — without surgery.

Inspired by that outcome and by what osteopathic manual therapy could do for himself and others, Alok trained to become an osteopathic manual practitioner. Alongside his hands-on techniques, he believes strongly in teaching clients how they can help themselves resolve their aches and pains, and always explains his treatment plan. He continues to follow that passion, advancing his education and knowledge through ongoing studies.
